Initially conceptualized in August 2009 by two 11th graders, the first issue of dfuse.in was released in October 2009 in an e-book format. It was succeeded by two more issues in the same format until it lay dormant for a while.
Reason?
Exam pressures, coaching classes, college-hunting and what not.
In January 2011, it was rebooted by a team led by Aniket Dasgupta, one of the founders of dfuse.in with Lipi Mehta as it’s Editor-in-Chief . With a new staff and newer ideas, dfuse.in launched itself as a complete online magazine on the 14th of February, 2011.
Run solely by college students, it now is a youth-oriented e-magazine. A pun on the word ‘diffusing’, it ‘diffuses’ or ‘spreads’ its opinions with the identity of being a cross between the alternate and the mainstream.
