While praying, one usually let go of all consciousness or awareness of what or who they are surrounded by. It is a moment which the person shares only with his or her belief in a higher power or God, as we term it. These moments of solitude are ones that I have always wanted to capture. Walking around the Jama Masjid in Delhi, I found many of these moments. Some of them compelled me to simply stop and introspect. My visit to this historic mosque was one in which I truly found solace. I was at peace with myself and everything around me. This is exactly what I have tried to bring out through this set of photographs – a bit of silence, a bit of peace and calm, and a bit of belief in a higher power.
