As a tradition, TIME Magazine comes out with an end-of-the-year top 10 list across categories ranging from top 10 best movies, worst movies, comebacks, scandals, tweets, memes and more. South Korea’s Psy is now a musical sensation all around the world. Gangnam Style has pushed Justin Bieber and Katy Perry to number 2 on YouTube. However, very few people know that ‘Gangnam style’ refers to the unique influence on Korean identity and culture that the district of Gangnam in Seoul has. A lot of international organizations have even heralded the song as an anthem, common to various races across the world!

The Goa Arts and Literary Festival organized by prolific Hindi writer Mridula Garg and noted poet and novelist Eunice de Souza will take place from the 13th till the 17th of December at The International Centre, Goa. Writers such as Mitra Phukan, Amish Tripathi and Jeet Thayil will be present at the festival amidst a host of other writers, performers and artists.

Neel and the Lightbulbs is an acoustic rock band from Kolkata. Apart from singer-sonwriter Neel Adhikari (Gandu Circus, ex-Five Little Indians), the band consists of Roheet Mukherjee, Subhodip Banerjee and Avinash Chordia (The Supersonics). Their easygoing indie sound and beautifully worded lyrics make for those times you want to just want to lose your self in the music you hear. Featured here is their ‘House in a Car’ EP.

Entitled From Love To Bingo, this minute-long spot was created by copywriter Sophie Schoenburg and art director Marcus Kotlhar. It features eight hundred and seventy-three Getty images shown in rapid succession to tell a story. At 15 images per second the quirky video is a beautiful example for editing.
