Our favourite films from IFFI 2013
I was at the International Film Festival of India 2013 in Goa. This is the 44th year of the festival. And like most things organised by the government, IFFI was horribly organised. Shows were cancelled, the theatre staff were weirdly rude, the organizing staff mostly didn’t care. Red tape and stupidity abounded. Film buffs like me stood ground and some even took it a level high by protesting (a high concentration of mallus and bongs in one area does tend to create this situation)
There were scandals about empty stalls and harassment and utterly tasteless overpriced food. And yet a few of us braved on. Thanks to Kingfisher. We even a had a little bit of fun- check this video out to see me fooling around the venue.
But a film festival is about movies right, so we did watch many and here’s a list of the ones we liked. Try looking for them wherever you get your movies from. (sorry some of these films don’t have English subtitles trailers)
