What you should really listen to…#1
A lot of people complain that they don’t like Indian musicians because Indian musicians aren’t ‘as good’ as a non-Indian ones. I hate that. I’ve been listening to a lot of independent (read non-bollywood) music and I’ve come to understand that it’s only when you accept these musicians for whatever they are that you enjoy their music. (Remember Fight Club: It’s only when you have lost everything that you are free to do anything … or something like that *stupid memory*)
I decided to mention one musician or band every now and then …
Allergo Fudge:
I came to know about this band from Bangalore simply because the vocalist of this band was a senior at school , but then when I actually heard them – I fell in love with their easy on the ear music.
‘Allegro Fudge’ is an acoustic band that plays original music which is in the process of being defined as a genre. Our songs have a distinct flavour of their own and draw inspiration from our everyday lives.
Allegro Fudge draws from the experience and the flavour that each musician brings, ranging from Blues, Country, Classical, Folk, Jazz, Metal to Pop to make very interesting music which doesn’t attempt to sound like anyone or be anything but becomes a musical counterpoint!
